Reply Since I will be closing out book sales at Shuushuu by Lulu at the end of September of this year, I am posting this comprehensive guide on how I grade my books and other vintage stock. This guide can be used for the many other items that will still be available such as, clothing, accessories, jewelry, ect. This terminology can be found throughout the Internet when buying vintage books. It is very common language, so I have incorporated it for the use of anything and everything. Then you do not have to learn multiple guides and charts. When I first began collecting books, buying them online, I learned a thing or two about descriptions and lack of descriptions. If you are unsure of anything you want to know about an item and need clarification, always ask questions. Almost everyone I have dealt with will provide an answer, including myself. If you need more pictures, be specific about what areas you would like photographed, and I will provide them. There was an occasion where a vendor could not provide answers to my questions and it was not mentioned in the description, I did not buy from them.
Gnarly, twisted mangroves fringe the island instead of the expected sandy white beaches. Pine Island actually consists of five separate communities: Although considered part of Pine Island, Matlacha technically occupies a smaller island in Matlacha Pass to the east.
The Heirloom Daffodil Orchard at England’s Felley Priory. Featured on the cover of Gardens Illustrated, Felley Priory’s Daffodil Orchard is the “crowning glory” of its “renowned gardens” – and filled with nothing but heirlooms.. Were this not the case, Christians might very likely celebrate the birth of their savior in March, May, or just whenever. What is the winter solstice? The winter solstice can be defined celestially as the point at which the Sun appears at the greatest distance on the other side of the equatorial plane from the observer. This happens sometime between December in the northern hemisphere, and between June in the southern hemisphere.
Reverse those dates, and you have the dates of the opposite phenomenon, the summer solstice, for each hemisphere. The cause of the solstices is that, at the instant of solstice, one hemisphere of the Earth is at its maximum tilt away from the Sun. This is why the day of the winter solstice is the shortest, in terms of daylight, of all the days of the year again, from the perspective of those in the North—it naturally marks the longest day in the South.
Why is it culturally significant? These are, in fact, extremely recent developments! Cattle were slaughtered at about the time of the solstice so that they would not have to be fed through the winter, creating a temporary supply of fresh meat—this is why we associate winter holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas with feasting. This fact was well-known to the skywatching ancients; important Celtic religious sites such as Stonehenge and New Grange are obviously aligned with the solstice sunrise or sunset, and we see similar reverence for the solstice in even completely unrelated cultures, such as those of neolithic Mesoamerica.
Symbolically, because the winter solstice marks the point at which the Sun reverses course and begins to climb back toward its summer posture, it was associated with the concept of spiritual renewal and with the birth dates of certain Sun deities, such as the Roman god Sol and the Persian god Mithras.

She pounds on the door wondering why Scarlett Sage isn’t answering. When Scarlett finally gets there, she tells Charlotte she was at cheerleader practice. Charlotte scoffs at the fact that Scarlett doesn’t even apologize, making her wait for almost an hour. When they finally start studying, Charlotte starts belittling Scarlett about the work. When Scarlett reveals that she’s actually not a spoiled little rich girl, they duke it out until they realize there’s more than meets the eye here.
Both girls come from broken homes and when they notice they have more in common than they think, they both realize they were in the wrong. They apologize to each other and embrace. When Charlotte finds out Scarlett’s single, she asks her if she’s ever been with a girl. When she proclaims that she’s not a lesbian, Charlotte clarifies that hooking up with a girl doesn’t automatically make you gay.
Seizing the moment, Charlotte plants a kiss right on Scarlett’s lips. When Charlotte asks her how she feels, it turns out Scarlett liked it more than she thought she would. Charlotte takes off Scarlett’s shirt and throws the book on the ground saying that they won’t be needing that anymore. Scarlett giggles as the girls start making out.

Trifari Vintage Jewelry Marks Purpose of this guide This guide is designed to help buyers and collectors of Trifari Jewelry identify the various Trifari Jewelry signatures, which helps to determine the age of pieces available for sale, as well as some pieces from specific collections. Pictures of the various marks are included. During the s and s, the company generally stamped their pieces “KTF” with an enlarge “T” see photo below. Some pieces from this era were either unsigned or the stamp has worn off over time.
Later on the Trifari logo with the crown over the “T” was adopted. There were lesser manufacturers who did copy some Trifari designs, but Trifari was pretty diligent about protecting their designs, and even ran ads letting people know that if a piece was not signed, it was not Trifari.
